Singer, lyricist and guitarist Thom Artway has a voice of his own and brings a modern sound to classic songwriting. He reached a wider audience in 2015 with the hit I Have No Inspiration. His debut album Hedgehog won two Anděl awards for 2016. After two albums sung in English he gradually turned to his native Czech. In February 2024 he released Trhám mraky, his first album entirely in Czech, and followed it in 2025 with Občas to tak mám. His latest work includes the singles Jasmín and Vítr.
Direct contact with the audience is a natural part of his concerts. He learned the craft busking at the Lennon Wall in Prague and during five months in Australia. On stage he can create an intimate atmosphere and get a whole hall singing. In his solo shows with a guitar, the closeness between him and the listeners stands out, and the Czech lyrics deepen it further.
In 2017 he won Czech Fresh, a project supporting the export of Czech music. He has played Sziget in Hungary and other festivals and stages in the United Kingdom, France and Austria. In 2023 he played four concerts in the USA and shot the video for his single Nebedálky in Manhattan during that trip. He has also toured with Kateřina Marie Tichá and the band Bandjeez.
In 2026 he appeared alongside Nathan Fillion in the American TV series The Rookie.
On 22 November 2026 he plays Lucerna Music Bar in Prague.
